Troubleshooting Chromebooks
Remember to plug your Chromebook in to charge after use.
DO NOT attempt to open or repair any school technology, simply submit a Help Desk Ticket to: ithelp@rainier.wednet.edu
- If the Chromebook is stuck, frozen or glitchy hold down the power button for at least 5 seconds and then turn it on again.
- If you cannot log on or access the internet, check that your are connected to a wifi network in the bottom right corner. If it looks like a weak connection, move closer to your wifi router.

Chromebook Keyboard Shortcuts
Ctrl+N Open a new window
Ctrl+Shift+N Open a new window in incognito mode
Ctrl+T Open a new tab
Ctrl+O Open a file in the browser
Ctrl+Shift+Q (twice) Sign out of your Google Account on Chrome OS
Ctrl+W Close the current tab
Ctrl+Shift+L Locks your screen
Ctrl+P Print your current page
Ctrl+S Save your current page
Ctrl+R Reload your current page
