I'm been a Rainier Middle School teacher since 1994 and have taught science, math, history and P.E. I also have coached wrestling at both the middle school and high school since 1994.

My name is Mr. Johnson! I am the agricultural shop teacher at RHS and teach middle school wood shop. I am also one of the Rainier FFA advisors!

Ms. Mays has been a teacher since 2014. She holds a Bachelor's degree in History and a Master's degree in secondary education both from Pacific Lutheran University. She has taught multiple levels and subjects of social studies and English. 

Some fun facts about Ms. Mays:

- She was born and raised in Washington state

- She has taught many social studies subjects but World and US are her favorite!

- She coached fastpitch for 7 years at her previous school district

- She took American Sign Language in high school and still remembers some of it!

Ms. Millward has been an enthusiastic educator since 2020, holding a Bachelor's in Math and a Master’s in Special Education. She teaches ACA and Life Skills with a passion for making complex concepts accessible. Outside the classroom, she enjoys exploring the outdoors and nurturing her love for plants. Her ultimate goal is to inspire and support every student in their academic and personal growth.

Hello, my name is Ryne Sell and I teach English language arts (ELA) at Rainier Middle School. I currently teach 7th grade and 8th grade ELA, along with honors classes for both grades. I have been here at RMS since 2015 and have been teaching in classrooms since 2010. I grew up just down the road in Tenino, WA and attended schools in both Washington and Oregon. In my free time, I enjoy reading/writing, playing guitar, retro video games and spending time with my wife and four daughters. If you are a parent or student, I encourage you to join our Google Classroom to see current and past assignments. My name is Reid Vasek and I am originally from Olympia. This will be my 7th year teaching math and I am excited for this school year. In my spare time I enjoy running, CrossFit, playing sports, and hanging out with my 2 daughters.
