I began teaching in Rainier in 2007 and currently teach middle school and high school band, along with middle school technology and robotics. In my free time, I enjoy woodworking, working with model trains, and performing in various ensembles.

Hello - I am Christian Foreman. I teach 7th grade Washington State history as well as 8th grade US History. I also have the opportunity to teach PE as well. If I'm not in the classroom I am on the football field where I coach the offensive and defensive line. 

I have two wonderful kids Layney and Kade, they are my world.

Hi, I'm Mrs. Garner, the middle school and high school art teacher at Rainier.  I absolutely love my job and love working on new ideas to enhance my students' art education and experiences. I have very high expectations of myself as well as my students. I am currently incorporating technology along with some reading/writing into my lessons. I believe that EVERY ONE of my students is a Van Gogh in some way! My philosophy about art is that it is a "problem solving" arena. There are several ways to accomplish something. I emphasize creativity, thinking outside the box, working hard, and doing your BEST all of the time!

My name is Mr. Johnson! I am the agricultural shop teacher at RHS and teach middle school wood shop. I am also one of the Rainier FFA advisors!

Ms. Mays has been a teacher since 2014. She holds a Bachelor's degree in History and a Master's degree in secondary education both from Pacific Lutheran University. She has taught multiple levels and subjects of social studies and English. 

Some fun facts about Ms. Mays:

- She was born and raised in Washington state

- She has taught many social studies subjects but World and US are her favorite!

- She coached fastpitch for 7 years at her previous school district

- She took American Sign Language in high school and still remembers some of it!

Ms. Millward has been an enthusiastic educator since 2020, holding a Bachelor's in Math and a Master’s in Special Education. She teaches ACA and Life Skills with a passion for making complex concepts accessible. Outside the classroom, she enjoys exploring the outdoors and nurturing her love for plants. Her ultimate goal is to inspire and support every student in their academic and personal growth.

Hello, my name is Ryne Sell and I teach English language arts (ELA) at Rainier Middle School. I currently teach 7th grade and 8th grade ELA, along with honors classes for both grades. I have been here at RMS since 2015 and have been teaching in classrooms since 2010. My name is Reid Vasek and I am originally from Olympia. This will be my 7th year teaching math and I am excited for this school year. In my spare time I enjoy running, CrossFit, playing sports, and hanging out with my 2 daughters.
